Goldfield Suites is nestled in a private, tranquil and very quiet location on the beautiful West Coast. The Cottages offer large picture windows with views to the Kaiata and Paparoa Ranges.
It is just a 10-minute drive to Greymouth and even less to the local pub. Here at Goldfield Suites, you can experience remote peacefulness, yet be very close to all Greymouth's amenities.
Between 01 December and 31 March, we provide a hosted alfresco evening meal served in a group setting in our purpose-built outdoor dining area. The meal is a chef's choice, slow-cooked bbq meal of the day, and consists of a protein with fresh baby potatoes and fresh free-range organic salad from our grow tunnel.
We require a minimum of two people for the dinner, but this may be comprised of people from separate bookings. Even if you are travelling alone, feel free to contact us in advance of your arrival as we may already be cooking on your night of arrival.
You are welcome to bring your own drinks to dinner or to purchase some from a small selection of beer and wine on-site.
Please provide 24 hours' notice prior to your arrival as the slow-cooked meat takes some time to prepare.
Outside the summer months, or if you are wanting something different for dinner, there are several dining options in Greymouth.
The nearest hotel and restaurant, Paroa Hotel, is only 3.7 kms from us, and serves good wholesome pub food. A further 5kms will provide a number of gastronomic options for guests. These range from eating takeaways while dolphin spotting at the river mouth, to gastro pubs, ethnic and fusion restaurants, and a finer dining restaurant.
A yummy continental breakfast is available at $15 per person.
This can be added to your online booking.
Wood Fired Hot Tub
Our wood-fired hot tub, in its secluded bush clearing, is available for guest use, for a small fee.
